A3launcher wont download mods
Prior to installing the version listed as "6 January " I could join my test server without an issue. There was a hotfix released on the 6th though.
That's probably where the confusion is coming from. Hopefully the version on A3 launcher has the hotfix already applied, or some people are gonna have a bad time. I looked at the bistudios. There's no mention of a hotfix on 6 January. The version on Survival Launcher is also dated 1 January. The update and hotfix were released January 1st, nothing happened on the 6th, where does the date come from?
It says the hotfix is FOR the version that was released on The hotfix itself was released on the 6th. Confusing I know I updated my servers a couple days after was released. Then had to listen to my players complain about crashing for two days until the hotfix came out. Some of them should be different from the rest hopefully. I don't know but that's what it says on the Epoch downloads page and if you open the file from the direct torrent, there are a couple of files dated the 6th of January.
My bad. It was the 4th that the hotfix was released. Just looked at the date stamps on the files on my server. Still doesn't make sense. The bistudios.
The direct torrent on the Epoch page has files dated 6 January. Check your date stamps on your files after you download them. If they don't match then the hotfix may not be part of that download package. Zed, it may be telling you your download is corrupt because you either have or don't have the hotfix which either was or wasn't applied for the A3 launcher download. There's a mismatch there somewhere.
The only way to know which way it goes is to download it and see what the date stamps are on the above listed files. Ideally the version that's linked to on Epoch page will be the same as what's on A3 launcher, but it sounds like they may be different.
Darth, you are using the lite package. The full package has files dated 6 January, at least if you download it from the direct torrent link. But yet the full version has files from the 6th, if you download it from the Epoch direct torrent link.
I have no explanation for that. I downloaded mine from the Torrent on the BIS forums for both client full and server lite including the main pack and the hotfix. It seems the A3 launcher version is somehow different  I've had a player say he can't connect to my server using A3Launchers AiA TP download, gave him a manual link and it works. That's only part of the problem. The version in the "direct torrent" link is different from the version on the bis website.
Yeah we all need to get together on this stuff somehow. There's like 4 different versions floating around in the wild. It's no wonder players can't connect to servers. I tried to contact dev Maca? There are many issues with lots of people being unable to join through A3 launcher being told to re download mods that have been in place and untouched.
The update to AiA may account for some of these problems but A3 launcher is not working as smoothly as DayZ Launcher does. That's why I got the latest versions joined them into 1 file and my players can download it from my site so there are no issues, as for a3 launcher it says it corrupt but plays just fine. I have a new problem. I renamed the folder with the AiA terrain pack so I'd have a good working backup. I downloaded the terrain pack from A3 Launcher and tried joining my server.
Click on OK to terminate the program. I also get runtime errors. So it won't get any faster even with a fast internet speed. Try to search for alternative downloads, and put the files in your Arma 3 Folder, this is often faster. A3 Epoch is on 0.
